How do I review this? All the shit that I wanted to happen in Unspoken happened or at least teased me with happening in this book. It was so good. Kami is so fantastic. Jared is so fantastic. Everyone and everything is fantastic.

I laughed a lot reading this book, of course, and almost cried a few times. I'm so emotionally invested in these characters, it's almost sad.

If you read Unspoken and liked it, immediately buy this and read it until your heart bursts.
Clown'd - K.A. Merikan Who knew clown sex could be so sexy?
And who said sex always has to be serious?

Spoilers afoot!

I'm torn between rating this like 4.5 or a 5... but I guess it doesn't matter really because those scores are pretty close.
Okay so I've read one of the author's other free short stories and she gave this to me in thoughts that I'd like it and damn was she ever right... and I always review honestly.

This short story is fucking sweet. It starts kind of freaky and I'm like "Ahhh rape!" but then you learn it's not real rape.. it's a rape fantasy being lived out by the MC, Kyle, and his, may I say, fucking awesome boyfriend/dom? Perhaps? Anyway, this story is hot. Super sexy and lots of clown gang-banging. Now, don't think clowns like.. horror movie clowns (not that I'm scared of clowns anyway) but hot dudes dressed up like clowns. The clown theme stuck throughout the entire story too, from the use of a balloon (LOL) and the brightly coloured condoms.. it all fit and was pretty ingenious.

Now, if you read the story and think "What kinda boyfriend is THAT?!" you have to acknowledge that both partners in this relationship are TOTALLY getting off on this... so it's a win/win... or rather a win/win/win/win/win. It's kind of sweet when you think about Dan going through a lot of trouble and planning to keep his boyfriend sexually excited. Different people have different views on romance and this was theirs... raunchy, sexy, group clown sex.

The best parts of this book for me were:
- You can tell the MCs are in love and it seems like a healthy, caring relationship. Dan is always there is reassure Kyle, and always close to him when the other guys are around and making sure everything goes smoothly
- I love humor in all situations and when you can take two things that I like such as erotica and humor and mix them together? AWESOME. Sex doesn't always have to be taken so seriously and I thought the clown aspect was GREAT. Unique and funny. I liked this book so much BECAUSE it was silly and sexy and that doesn't happen too often.
- This is hot. Super hot. Even the funny parts were sexy.

I give my stamp of approval on weird clown sex.
Starfighter - HamletMachine Edit:
I've reread the entire 3 chapters four times since my first read... oh boy.

UMMMM, HELLS YEAAHHHHHHH?!!!
This is good shit guys. Real good shit. For FREE. How is this free? I just read all 3 chapters that are posted. Fan-frickin-tastic. Wooooooo! *flaps arms*

ps. YOU CAN GUY PANTIES OFF THEIR WEBSITE. what I'm trying to say is... I bought panties off their website.
Teahouse - Emirain Best... EVER! I can't believe this is free!
I've decided to get a tattoo that says "teahouse" on my bum.
Ethan in Gold - Amy Lane One week from tomorrow...
one more week....

Spook Squad - Jordan Castillo Price EDIT: (spoilers)

I really enjoyed this book. It was fun, neato, and overall, a PsyCop book. You know what I mean.
I think I want to give this one... 3.75 stars and only because of my own personal bias. It's still a good rating and the writing, as always, is fantastic, but I found myself a tad bored at some points. The actual story was great... tied in old characters, newer characters, and a believable villain.
I can't stand Lisa. I want to punch her in her big, dumb head. Spontaneous wedding? You dumby.
Where's Crash? I need more Crash. I think that's why I was bored sometimes reading this.. I love Crash so dearly and there wasn't enough of him for my tastes.
Vic and Jacob.. they... are like an old married couple. And old married couples are great! But I'd love to add some more excitement to their relationship. They're just dry toast.

AWWWW YEAAHHHHHHH!
This book comes out a week after my birthday and I'm honestly more excited for this book.

Submission - Chris Owen, Jodi Payne The only reason I'm putting this here is because I kind of lost interest half way through. I'll come back to it and finish it at a later date, so I'm not giving it a star rating yet because I was really enjoying it, I apparently just have a short attention span.
Playing with Food - K.A. Merikan Dafuq did I just read?
image

No, really. What? Like... I think I just read about... mermaid rape. I think. Wait. No. What?
I honestly have no idea what to even think of this. I don't know how to rate this. I'll give it 3... but I really don't even know... what I just read....
Edit: I'm bumping this up a star because I'm a sick whacko and I've read this story multiple times
Counterpunch - Aleksandr Voinov Very well written, engaging and overall really entertaining. Poor Brooklyn. I loved him from the beginning of the book, right up to the end. I felt so bad for him in so many situations.
Fantastic read- plan to read it again.
Night Film - Marisha Pessl FRIENDS! - let me know if anyone wants to do a buddy read of this with me
Widdershins - Jordan L. Hawk What a bunch of mindfuckery!

What a totally awesome, fun, interesting book! Man, I loved this. It needs a place on my favorites shelf.
First off.. Guardians? WTF? READING about them made me feel yucky. That's so messed! Ewwwwwww!
Also this book was cute and Percival was just adorable! Also the sex scenes? Uh... hot. Hot hot hot! Like jalapeno hot.

If you read a lot of M/M romance... like myself, read this because it's an unusual world and a time period I'm not used to reading about in M/M books, but the actual romance is great and the story is probably even better.
Sibling Rivals - Summer Devon this sparks my inner "just both do it" fantasy, and thats WRONG....

...
If It Fornicates - Aleksandr Voinov, L.A. Witt I want to give this book 6 stars!
It's SO good!

This is awesome. This book is so good, so well written, and so engaging. I'm obsessed with Nick (and Spencer). Nick is by far my favorite of the series, and his relationship with Spencer is extremely endearing. While reading this I squealed like a preteen fangirl multiple times, especially with such lines as, "Awwww shiiiitttt!" "Omg! That's so awkward!" and my classic, "Oooohhhh, buddy....". Another perfect addition to the series. I have no idea why it took me so long to read this.

And and BTW, this book is hot. Like, foam-at-the-mouth/my-mind-almost-blew-up kind of hot. Will probably reread this weekend.

Openly Straight - Bill Konigsberg A loveable story about self-acceptance and Tory (because Tory is the shit).

So basically it's about this kid realizing that not everyone is judging him based on him being gay, and even if they are, he shouldn't give a shit.
image

This kid pretended to be straight because he didn't want people to judge him.
image

It's also about the same kid who falling in love with this other cute kid, but cute kid 1 pretends he's not gay and cute kid 2 thinks they're both straight and learning about this gay stuff together.
image

And in the end, I wanted some serious weiner action, and there wasn't, at least none I got to read about. And I'm all pent up because I really wanted some more action at the end.

For realz though, sweet book.
Keeping Promise Rock - Amy Lane I can't lie to you friends... I DNF this around 85% of the way in. I thought I made a pretty good dent in this book, but I just can't make myself finish it.
I cried reading this book, and laughed.. and for the first... I don't know, 50% I was truly in love.
Poor Deacon! What a broken person he became. I loved him through the entire first half of the story, but he just became so broken. Can you still love someone like that after two years? Yes. I bet you could even be loyal to them. But I don't think you can pick up right where you left off, even after they'd known each other most of their lives.. because they both went through so much. Deacon practically changed entirely as a person. I don't know. I can see why some people LOVE this book and why some people are kind of annoyed at the drama.

I really, really enjoyed this book, but I don't think my poor heart can take any more.
Muscling Through - J.L. Merrow So I read this last night before bed. Yes, all of it.

I couldn't sleep and this book was riveting. First off, how refreshing to read a book from the point of view of a character who is a little slower. Al is such a loveable giant with a huge sweet spot for Larry, who couldn't love it? I loved both Al and Larry in this book and I loved them together. Watching their sweet and extremely hilarious relationship blossom was like a little privilege of my night. And I did laugh a lot during this book, especially the beginning story of how he and Larry met.
What a big dummy! That situation with Ren. I'd be mad too if I were Larry, but I understand Al to... he didn't understand what the issue was.

What a great, refreshing, and hilarious story! Going to the favorites shelf.
